Golf Course Digest

One hears it from every player competing in the 137th Open Championship: that Royal Birkdale is a “fair” course. This means, I think, that balls do not bounce off sideways, or roll playfully into steep-sided pebbly brooks; and that a player standing on the tee is generally able to see all the way down to the green. Phil Mickelson said yesterday that the Birkdale course uses “every club in your bag” - and I’m sure he meant that as a compliment. But what is it like for the spectator? (more…)

Belgium considering the long history of playing a golf course, it is strange that the country has yet to take off like golf hotspot fund deserves. A variant of golf has been played in Belgium from 14th-century, the climate is temperate, the courses are close together, is a short distance from England and, of course, beer and chocolate are legendary! They all came together to make sure golf holiday in Belgium are perfect for anyone who wants a quick exit from England without having to travel for hours…

But what are the golf courses in Belgium wanabe golfer to be played at the same time? There are plenty to choose from (according to the Royal Golf Federation of Belgium, there are 78 affiliated clubs!) For more quisquillosos golfer is bound to find at least one or two to your liking. Good Golf Course

Most golf courses have made the rules and regulations on appropriate dress attire. If you feel comfortable playing golf in shorts and a T-shirt, be sure to call and check the dress code rules. Not all golf courses have a dress code, but most have.

If you’re on the road to the golf course and his friend is reading this article from your laptop, you do not have to turn around if you are using your favorite tee shirt and bathing suit.
